Dr. Vannaphone Putthana is vice dean of the National University of Laos (NUOL) and focuses on animal health and food safety. He is also a senior lecturer in the veterinary department and in the faculty of agriculture at the National University of Laos.

Vannaphone has broad experience in the One Health concept and approach, and in multi-sectorial collaboration and trans-disciplines. 

He has worked as a coordinator for the ComAcross project, collaborating with ILRI for the safe pork project, and cooperating closely with CIRAD.

Dr. Vannaphone Putthana relies on a vast network of professional experts in specific areas of animal health.
He holds a Ph.D. Diploma in tropical and sub-tropical agriculture from the Czech University of Lifescience.
