An international support

PREZODE was launched with the support of international institutions, research organizations and universities.

PREZODE was launched in January 2021, during the One Planet Summit on Biodiversity. Announced by French President Emmanuel Macron, the initiative is supported by the European Commission and the Quadripartite: Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), World Health Organization (WHO), World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) and United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).

During the 2021 event, FAO Director-General Dr. Qu Dongyu welcomed the initiative, underlining that PREZODE can rely on FAO's fieldwork and global experience, citing the One Health "ECTAD" network of over 400 animal health experts working in 36 African and Asian countries as an example, as well as the Organization's reference centers, and laboratory surveillance program.

PREZODE also received expressions of interest from many research organizations and universities internationally.
