The agenda provided working sessions on three main topics:

A focus on the upcoming development of the Initiative. 2024 main goals are to strengthen and engage PREZODE’s community, fund new projects and concrete actions, and develop the database.

The process to follow up on the scientific orientation of the Initiative, as proposed by the Strategic Agenda. The next step is a call for interest that will be launched to establish the 5 Working Groups pillars, each being chaired by a referent within the scientific College of the Steering Committee: Aitor Nogales González (Understand the zoonotic risk and risk activities), Waraphon Phimpraphai (Co-design solutions to reduce the zoonotic risk), Wim van der Poel (Strengthen early warning systems to detect zoonotic risks), Sarah Olson (Prototype a global information system for surveillance and early detection) and @Musso Munyeme (Engage stakeholders and co-design One Health networks and policies).

Finalizing the operational structure of PREZODE. This phase includes the launch of the SC work, the election process of the President and vice-president of the General Assembly, and the establishment of the International Secretariat in charge of the PREZODE daily activities and implementation of the PREZODE governing decisions, especially communications, coordination, partnerships, and membership management, relations with the regional focal points and fundraising activities.
